Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours

Earn SSL hours while making a meaningful impact in your community

What are SSL Hours?

Student Service Learning (SSL) hours are a graduation requirement for Maryland public school students. Students must complete 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school, with at least 25 hours completed by the end of 10th grade.

SSL hours provide students with opportunities to engage in meaningful community service that addresses real community needs while developing civic responsibility and leadership skills.
